SO, here I am the last moments with the little tike still inside me.
And here he is! Caleb John Bowman 7lbs 9 oz, 20 in long born at 8:19 am.
(He wasn't named until the day we left the hospital.)
Thanks goodness we didn't get picts of the surgery process. Dave got to come in and watch. He is always facinated watching the surgery, especially when Dr. Tindall shows him my guts. I told Dave he knows me inside and out. haha! I am always so grateful when the whole process is over. Its physically and mentally stressful. This time they had to do the spinal 2 times. They had me all prepped and laid out to start the cutting when they did a final pinch test, and determined I could still fill everything. Oww! Once I was finally numb, the rest of the procedure went smoothly and I am always excited to see the face of my little babe. The funny thing is this time when Dr. Tindall lifted up my baby boy for me to see, the baby spit up all over my face. I was pinned down to the table so Dave had to wipe my face with his sleeve. It was rather funny.

My first time to get to snuggle and cuddle him. What a cutie pie!
Holding his own pacifier already!
A proud Daddy finally has himself a son!
Getting to go home. I enjoy the time in the hospital to just spend time with Caleb.
He was welcomed home with lots of love and excitement from his 3 big sisters.
April 21st my birthday, and was the same day I got to take Caleb home.
What a great present!
Though still feeling weak, drugged, and incapacitated, my family gave me a sweet birthday party, Amy made me a beautiful fondant cake and mom pampered me. I felt well loved.
